Vermogensmonitor

Who are we?

The Vermogensmonitor is no law firm.
Vermogensmonitor specialises in providing guidance and advice to consumers and businesses that believe they have sustained a loss as a result of the actions or inactions of a bank or asset manager. In practice this means that we investigate the complaints and then present them to the institution in question.

Over the years, we have built up a reputation in the Netherlands in solving conflicts, and many financial institutions have been grateful for our mediation. This is because the parties involved occasionally lose sight of reality and are therefore unwilling to accept reasonable solutions. In these cases, we can generally use examples from our rich experience with similar cases to convince the parties to accept a compromise.

Scandinavian Bank Nordea ignores European legislation

Nordea Bank in Luxemburg still gives credits (above 300%) on single risky bonds (Austrian Volksbank perpetuals) and feeds the problems of the recent financial crisis.

Various Dutch investors have lost more than the money they put in, due to the sharp decline in the collateral concerned. The Vermogensmonitor thinks Nordea provides this risky construction in several European countries and therefore does not want to discuss the losses of the Dutch clients. By providing high leverage until 300% or more on one single bond, Nordea is not taken care of the belongings of their clients and handles in conflict with the European legislation MiFID (1 November 2007).
